Pipol Coffee

The Brief

Pipol Coffee is a small independent café in the heart of Barcelona’s El Born, with a distinctly local and urban personality. Their visitors come from all walks of city life, from skaters and creatives to businesswomen, tourists, and dog walkers. The café’s most iconic visitors, however, are the pigeons that regularly wander through the streets and into the café. I developed a series of 8 illustrated characters inspired by this diverse community, combining coffee culture with everyday Barcelona street life. The characters were designed as a flexible visual system and were eventually used across T-shirts, sweaters, stickers, mugs, coffee cups, and other café materials.
